Swara Institute of Performing Arts was constituted by Sh. Nishant Gupta and Smt. Vandana Gupta accomplished Kathak exponents who are known for their Solo and Duet Kathak performances worldwide.In 2008 with a thought of spreading the knowledge of Indian Classical dance from widely, they started "Swara Institute" that aims at training dancers committed to pursuing the classical art as a passion or a profession.In this way, "Swara Institute" serves the social cause of making performing arts abundantly spread across the country and beyond.

Preserving Kathak

In India, Music and Dance has been cultivated as an art for at least three thousand years. It is the universal language of the pious souls of all times and places.In today's scenario, where our very own classical dance forms are fading into the oblivion, "Swara Institute" aims and is dedicated to promote the practice, development and awareness of Kathak Dance as a performing art tradition as well as a component of Rich Classical Heritage of the nation.It offers Kathak classes as in Indian Guru-Shishya Parampara(Teacher-Disciple system) with a view to the presence and conserves classical dance forms, "Swara Institute" also offers:

  • Undertakes performing arts projects.
  • Organise creative sessions.
  • Dance Rehearsals.
  • Recordings Session.

And other related services for excellence in the performing arts.

Creating New League of Indian Classical Dancers

"Swara Institute" commits to always deliver high-quality education of Kathak Dance form for the promotion and development of performing arts, our belief in values and dedication towards achieving the best in dance student’s performance.Over the years, "Swara Institute" has presented its students at the live stage like:

  • Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre.
  • Shah Auditorium, New Delhi.
  • Muktadhara – BangaSanskriti Bhawan.

In this way, "Swara Institute" provides a platform to young, potential, hardworking and talented students who can showcase their skills and get encouraged and motivated in pursuing and preserving Classical Dance. Therefore, creating and preparing league of Indian Classical Dancers who will eventually represent Indian Dance forms Nationally and Internationally.

Nrityanjali

Nrityanjali describes "The Dancer". It is the name of the show that “Swara Institute” conduct and organizes annually.This shows the Journey of various students that include the learnings, hard work, developing and mastering skill which is concluded with their performance on Nrityanjali Show Series.
Nrityanjali show series:

  • Shah Auditorim New Delhi (2012 ).
  • Muktadhara- BangaSanskriti Bhawan (2013).
  • Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts (2014 – 2017).

This year Nrityanjali is going to be held at Kamani Auditorium, Mandi House, New Delhi.
